Nope, traffic exchanges would not get you banned from Adsense. Many of us do it to differing degrees and have for quite some time. Now if you make a post saying please click the ads or in any way attempt to generate clicks that would be another story. You should be fine.

Jerry, I have to completely disagree with you here. Service such as BE, BS and others do not (at the surface) fit into any of the "paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf and click-exchange programs" This is my interpretation and experience with adsense.

No monetary gain is generated with legitimate traffic exchanges that require the user to intentionally display a given web page. Unlike the auto-surfers that run a java app to display pages without end user intervention.

I suppose the big G would be the only one to provide the definitive answer to this. An email requesting clarification from them will be forthcoming shortly, I'll post any response here as well.

I humbly stand partially/mostly incorrect, this link explains better how traffic exchanges MAY lead to troubles;
